Number of Visits?: My first visit! How busy was it? Almost full Time of day? Weekday lunch Additional Comments: Well I walked in needing a table for three... was seated somewhat near the entrance which I didn't like, so I asked for a change, the waiter agreed with absolutely no problem. We had huge bags of shopping, fortunately there was just about enough space (although one of my bags had to hang behind my chair and people kept bumping into it). I must say, I liked the music and me and my two friends had a tiny little mini-rave :p (one of them is half portuguese haha). I had a quarter chicken and chips, this time I decided to try the extra hot sauce in the black bottle. Oh my, it was hot, but I kinda saw that coming. The chicken was tender and I wasn't embarrassed at all to dig in with my hands. I was so full, I couldn't manage dessert. Also, I am allergic to nuts, so to see them on the counter made me flinch a bit (perhaps move them off?). I also avoided eating the skin of the chicken as it had a slightly burnt sort of flavour and was quite oily. The unlimited drinks is an awesome idea! I needed loads because of that sauce! I kept stealing my friend's chips, they were lovely, thick and crisp. I would definitely come here again, the smell from outside it led me in (more than any of the other restaurants in the food court). I also wish there were more choice of desserts. I wanted something light, but I'm not a big fan of frozen yoghurt. | Friendliness of Staff | Speed of Service | Quality of Food | Decoration and Cleanliness | Rating | 4 | 3 | 4.5 | 3 | Meaning | Good stuff. Additional comments: Having never been to Brent Cross shopping center before, I struggled to find this branch, I had to actually use a map which is upsetting because I usually have a Nando's sense.
When I arrived the branch was really busy, I thought that it was very small, my friends attempted to leave and go somewhere else but I was not having that, eventually we got told to go upstairs where somebody would await us, when I got upstairs I realised the branch was much bigger than I had thought, though I'm not sure why we had to wait when there was lots of empty tables upstairs, we were told to take whatever table we wanted so we got a nice circular one with comfy seats.
I really liked the decor in this branch, I love restaurants that have other whole floors kind of hidden away where you can't see them, with an awesome dumbwaiter to bring our food up, a good thing about this was that the upstairs also had a till of it's own! So instead of queuing downstairs to order we just ordered where there was no queue. I loved the curled up wood thing (Not sure what it's called) that was on the walls behind us, the whole place felt really clean and new and had a good atmosphere, though this branch doesn't have it's own toilets, there are some right outside around the corner.
So as I said there was no queue to order our food, so we were up and sat back down again in no time and had a nice chat before our food arrived in the dumbwaiter 10 minutes later. I ordered my usual Butterfly chicken extra hot with chips and garlic bread. There was plenty of sauce bottles but only one bottle of extra-extra hot, but I guess not many people are crazy enough to use it... The butterfly chicken was a really big piece covered in extra hot sauce.. mmm..., I admit I actual couldn't eat all of it, which was upsetting (I hate wasting Nando's) The chips were kind of average and the portion quite small but all chips taste the same once you cover them in extra-extra hot sauce! The garlic bread wasn't cooked enough for my liking but was still edible.
I had a chocolate ice-cream which was brought over very promptly after I ordered it, and I didn't even have to get up to pay for it, the waitress took my money at the table and brought me my change, perfect after I'm stuffed from eating chicken! The staff in this branch were really friendly! The waitress even took a picture of the group of us when we asked, and didn't seem reluctant at all, but happy to do it, but being tucked away upstairs, she was the only staff member we really encountered.
So overall, awesome staff in this branch, awesome chicken, average sides, lots of seating though still a wait, comfy seats! A branch very much recommended if you fancy a day out shopping! | Friendliness of Staff | Speed of Service | Quality of Food | Decoration and Cleanliness | Rating | 5 | 4 | 4 | 4 | Meaning | Wow, I feel incredibly welcome! Date of last visit: Mon 19/09/11 Number of visits?: 2-5 How busy was it? Almost full Time of day? Weekday lunch Additional comments: On arrival at 2:30pm on a fairly busy Monday, we were seated straight away which was a pleasant surprise. Avoiding peak lunch hours is key here but the branch was busy nevertheless. Table 26 is right at the back and we did feel isolated at times as staff were not hovering nearby as much as in other areas. This became a slight problem when my food arrived as it then took a fair few minutes before I could ask for some mayonnaise. Apart from that, no complaints. We did run out of houmous to go with our pitta bread but maybe that was because it was so tasty that we kept piling excessive amounts of peri houmous onto our pitta! | Friendliness of Staff | Speed of Service | Quality of Food | Decoration and Cleanliness | Rating | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | Meaning | Good stuff. Weekday lunch Additional comments: Getting seated straight away in this extremely popular branch is a rarity! As a party of 2, luckily we were seated within 5 minutes and there was no queue when we went up to order which was unexpected given how busy it was. Unfortunately on this particular day, they had no houmous with peri drizzle, just when I really fancied it! My half chicken did make up for it, however; dripping in sauce and decent portions of chips to go with it. This restaurant has a really good feel to it apart from the hustle and bustle of frantic shoppers. The music was particularly suitable and all the wall space has been used in some way or another to contribute to the atmosphere. Date of last visit: 20/08/10 Number of visits?: 1st visit! Additional comments: Due to the busy nature of Brent Cross shopping centre, do not expect to be seated straight away for lunch on any given day. The upstairs section still feels slightly empty in areas and devoid of the Nando's feel whereas the downstairs area is much more authentic. Unlike recent visits to other branches, I was satisfied on leaving after consuming half a chicken and 2 peri chips both in terms of quantity and spiciness. Parking is free and very nearby which is a major plus. The nearest tube station (Brent Cross) is a 10 minute walk from Nando's.

Submitted by: James Colom Date of last visit: 23/07/10 Number of visits?: 1st visit! Additional comments: Right in the middle of Brent Cross food court. There are other options around but no idea why you would choose them over Nando's! Close as can be to the multistorey, and right at the top of the escalator down to the shops - this Nando's is ideally situated for a day out shopping. Decor was spot on and featured some interesting light fixtures and artwork. We were sat upstairs (had no idea there was an upstairs to the food court!) and all the food was brought up by a dumbwaiter which was a nice touch to reduce potential congestion on the stairs. Staff were polite and seemed recently trained. Will definitely revisit next time I make a shopping trip. As for the food - average, average, average. Little too much salad in the wrap and no amount of peri-spice to write home about. Only been open 10 days though so I'll forgive them!
