Additional Comments: Happiness could be described as Nandos for breakfast, lunch and dinner, however only when dinner isn't at Clapham. This was the first store I came to back in 97 when it was a new store and my memories are skant, though if the food was anything like it was tonight no wonder it took me another 6years before my second nandos.
Situated in a part of London you check your wallet in. the store is a beacon of civilasion. The outside apearence is fine and within it does have a very latin afrian atmosphere though the ww2 stlye pin up painted on the cooker hood whilst out of character is quirky enough that i like it. The till area is small but near the door and extends into a serving bay. The thin narrow store then continues with seating either side of the corridor with some comfy seating and whilst no booth as such some elements offer a lot of privacy. There was then a black tile section made up of recycled nandos tiles facing onto the beverage section which was unkempt and sauce bottles untidy and most lacking their spout which makes pouring hard. There were no knifes either so I had to ask for some which were brought immediately. Narrow stairs lead down to the small cramped though clean toilets. At the very back of the store it widens out to a large eating area mostly made up of bench style tables with a wall of differing decorative louve doors. There would have been a nice light letter display other than it had been rearranged into Nndsoa.
Till service was quick and by what was definatly the best aspect of the store a pretty red headed french girl who was very friendly and helpful, took a genuine interest and who also said good bye at the end, worth coming just to talk to her.
When the meal arrived I was shocked at what was definatly the smallest quarter of a chicken I have ever seen! Less then half the size of a Portsmouth quarter and about a third of the size of a Dublin quarter. What was worse was the wing on it was burnt and it was quite dry and lacking in sauce.
Could do with a bit of decoration though would be good to keep a number of its quirkier elements, and get some bigger chickens and learn to cook them better.

Additional Comments: Was staying with a friend in Clapham for a weekend and so took the chance to pop into here. He was actually the fine chap who introduced me to Nando's all those years ago! It was a nice sunny August evening and so there were a few people sitting outside... but err, not for me... they were pretty much sitting in the road!
It was nice and bright inside. It's on the corner of a street, so two of its walls are all windows allowing a lot of light in, but it does mean there's less room for nice artwork and that inside. Could probably do with the once over to spruce it up a bit.
The layout was a little odd from what I remember. Some barstools around part of the counter to sit at - but they just got in the way of the queue more than anything. It wasn't busy at all inside, so we could pick the biggest table.
The food came in just under 10 minutes and was pretty standard.

Additional Comments: An older Nando's that could do with a makeover. There isn't enough space by the till to accommodate queuing in busy periods and as a result people easily pushed in. Staff were not very friendly and food was placed hurriedly on the table.
