Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

Located in the Westfield so plenty of good priced parking. I decided to park at the ParkSafe on Bold Lane which was a 5 minute walk away, just for kicks! :-)

First impressions of the branch were good. It's in the eat central area of the Westfield, so loads of variety to choose from. Nice glass frontage for the entrance and feature wall to the right as you walk in. It's in beige stone and has carvings etched into the whole wall. The layout is also very well done. There's plenty of space round the counter for queueine without getting in the way of anyone. The front half nearest the entrance is mainly booth style seating that hold 4-6 people and the back half (past the till) opens out to reveal larger circular booths mixed in with two and four seated tables. The back half also has its two walls glass panelled so you can see out and gaze below into the shopping centre and watch people go by.

The decor is also interesting in the back half. The lighting consists of wicker lattice effect balls suspended from large oval wooden discs. It certainly makes it bright. There's also some large wooden branches sprawling across the windows.

The front half is a little sparse of artwork though - a few wooden sculptures on the Walls above the booths, but otherwise a bit plain. Quite a lot of the booths in the front and back have a lot of frayed edges - and some big rips in the fabric and leather and quite a bit of foam poking out of them. Someone needs to take a stitch and thread to them!!

The staff were very friendly. Louise, the Manager, gave a Very warm welcome - fully explained how Nando's works. Steph T was then very helpful and quick on the till as was Louise to authorise my free whole chicken (thanks Loyalty Card!). Throughout the meal we were checked on by a few other members of staff too. Good stuff.

It was about 2pm on a very sunny Good Friday - so needless to say, it wasn't the busiest. Was in a party of three and we were seated straight away, no queue to order - and the food came in just under 15 minutes.

The chicken was really good. Very moist, piping hot and lathered in sauce. Very good crisp hot chips too - and a full table sauce selection available.

Toilets were spotless too! Very clean, all tiled.

What a nice lunch! :-)
