Wednesday evening heading to Enfield Nandos I was cheeky and left van in Tescos car park up the road and walked down to the store which is set back from the cross roads of a very busy intersection at the centre of Enfield. There is a seating area outside the front of the store and the large patio windows are capable of being opened up during the summer to bring the outside in. You enter the store though a walk way which is separated from the seating area by a low wall and a drift wood display so keeping the queue out the way and enabling takeaway customers to get to the back of the store and tills without impinging on dinners.
The host who welcomed me was exceptionally friendly talking to me like if i was a regular, He also tried to push the new side of Luso beans and Caramel Cheesecake heavily. Was sat straight away in the downstairs seating area which features tables and soft benches and a little nice art work. The seating area upstairs whilst larger could have done with more/better artwork and was mostly just tables and chairs. Could do with more decoration, though i did like the bare brick wall and the alcoves within.
Food took for ever (well 21 minutes as i was timing) and i saw several takeaway customers come and leave during that time, though i suppose they could have phoned their orders in. When my food arrived the leg piece was a bit dried out though the breast wasn’t but both suffered from scorching on the skin so that it tasted burnt and had to be removed to enjoy the chicken beneath. Sauce and beverage area clean and under the stairs. Toilets which were upstairs were as bland as could be and could do with a revamp. The freindly staff were the bonus point of this venue.
