Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

I was in Harrogate for 3 days for the local government association conference, being that Harrogate is a aging spa town excellent for conferences with the winter gardens and conference centre and so with a steady rotation of visitors that would make many tourist towns jealous. This resulted me coming to this one month old Nandos 3 days on the trot, with 3 different Nandos virgins who should look kindly on the chain should one ever come before their planning committee. The first day for dessert (chocolot cake and toffee ice cream) with the leaders of 2 councils and a Cabinet member whom I hadn't managed to try Nandos for dinner (Waggamamas next door got their vote) but did drag in for afters. Elliot on the tills and serving was a ledge and a total credit to Nandos and if he had been the only person to serve me this week you'd be on a 5 for service.
The next day I was back for lunch with colleagues and a female supervisor was on "un"welcoming, despite the store being empty she was trying to stick us on a 3rd rate table, we suggested the corner table, she pointed out there was only 3 of us and that table was for 4 - 5. We looked incredulously around the empty store and at the many other empty large tables and decided to go sit there anyway which infuriated her and she pulled faces at us and had a hissy fit, later on she was shrilly telling new staff how to wipe tables "her" way. If she had been the only one to ever serve me the store would have been getting a 1 and this day we had a bit of a wait on food.
Next day I was dragged back to the store by another couple of friends one of whom had never tried Nandos before, manageress Jo today was good.

The store is quite well decorated and sits near the bottom of one of the main roads and has a sharp slope outside to cope with, there is a nice colourful chandelier above the stairwell that leads down to the basement toilets which are best described as brutal distressed concrete. There is also a lovely stained glass window setup around the Nandos name at the side of the store and a good mixture of tables and seating styles with colour everywhere.

They do seem to have problems with one of their tills as we noticed a lot of us hadn't been awarded our points!!! very infuriating for someone who lives for collecting points and on the last day when I noticed my previous 2 days hadn't been rewarded on my account and the reciept was showing no points awarded that day despite spending a lot more than £7 I did complain.

Food was ok though not the biggest portions I have come across by any means and would have liked a bit bigger rice.

I expect I will be back at this store in the future.
