Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

I visited Nando's on the August bank holiday so the entire Trafford Centre was packed. This has been my last visit to this particular Nando's. Every single time I have visited it has been a major disappointment!

The queue outside was long. I wanted a takeaway so I could go sit in the food hall as there were a few of us dining from the different restaurants onsite. I just wanted something quick so I ordered a large portion of chips. Now when I was walking through I saw orders being taken to diners and the chips looked see through. Therefore when I was ordering I asked for my chips to be well done. The person taking my order did not key this through at the till and did not go through to the kitchen area to advise anyone. So how on earth would they know to make sure my chips were well done?

I went round to the takeaway area and saw a different member of staff and advise of the problem. They went through to the cooking area and I saw them speaking to the girl who was in charge of the chips. I saw her arguing with him and flapping her arms - the gist I got was that she was not going to cook my chips well. The guy came back to me and said he had asked his manager to make sure this was done. A couple of minutes later I got my chips. My see through chips.

I have no idea why such a small request caused such a problem and could not be carried out. The staff were not helpful at all. I had paid £4 for something which was not at all nice to eat. Now a local fish and chip shop charge around £1.50 for a massive portion of tasty well cooked chips. If I am paying £4 for chips I expect them to be cooked properly! I think the staff here need to go on a customer service course in America! They know how to treat their customers!

Comments

Very sorry to hear about the chips! Luckily Manchester has lots of other branches in the vicinity!
Thanks for your other two reviews, Jodes. Maybe add a photo of you at Nando's to your profile when you get a chance.
Our next event will be in London around September 20th by the way. Let us know if you're interested :).
