Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

Well, after successfully running a 100km, why not celebrate with a lil Nando's?? Seeing as though the run finished at the Don Valley stadium, a short drive found us at Sheffield's Valley Centertainment.

It's not far off Junction 34 of the M1 and has its own brown tourist sign ("Centertainment") so following that cannot get you lost. Darnall train station is just over a mile walk away. Meadowhall retail park is also very close (the nearest point is a few hundred metres away), but Meadowhall train station is about 1.5 miles away. Centertainment does have its own Supertram station though!

Centertainment has hundreds and hundreds of free parking spaces, but be prepared to drive round at busy times waiting for a space to come! There's plenty to do here, including a Cineworld, Hollywood Bowl and Laser Quest and there are your other expected eateries onsite (Pizza Express, Prezzo, Bella Italia etc).

Arrived here at about 8pm in a party of four, and was advised there'd be up to a 25 minute wait - which turned out to be less than 10 minutes. No queue to order and all the food came in less than 10 minutes too!

It's very open plan seating and a good mix of booths, benches and different sized table/chair sets throughout. One nice thing is the walkway between the tills and the seating is quite large and you were asked to go and wait for a table over there, so you weren't in somebody's face while they were eating. The decor is perhaps just above average - three large wooden discs in the ceiling each with a chandelier type fixture. A few canvases over to the wall on the right (as you enter) and then shelving units with pots/plants at the back and to the left.

The food was superb as well. Between the four of us, two whole free chickens were being claimed - and they were huge! Really well cooked, piping throughout and nice hot, moist white meat right to the bone. The portions of chips and rice were all big as well and hot crispy chips, with hot, moist rice. This was delicious!

Staff were friendly, but as yesterday - just doing what they could to get the tables turned around.
