Ben the manager is an absolute credit to your company, his service is impeccable and I'm so grateful for the effort himself/his colleagues made to impress us, despite the restaurant being packed. For the sake of anybody reading, this really is a special Nandos. Thank you so much, I can't emphasise my gratitude enough!

All the best,

Benjamin

We walked to the branch from Waterloo Station. It’s a bit of a trek but quite a pleasant trek if you walk along the River Thames. We arrived about 7.30 pm and the greeter informed us that we had 30 minutes to order and eat our food as the staff had their Christmas Night Out. Though she assured us that we wouldn’t be thrown out at 8pm, I found it a bit worrying.

This was an after work meal with a friend. We went quite early around 5.30ish which explains why very few tables were occupied; that and it's quite a large Nando's. You can use either Borough or London Bridge tube stations on the northern line. next to Wagamama's and in front of the anchor pub. The restaurant has a lovely glass arch front and easy to spot and a view of the Shard to go with it when you enter.

This Nando's is located right on the river and we sat at a table by the window so we had great views. The gorgeous old building coupled with high ceilings and industrial chic decor really makes the experience feel more high end than in any other Nandos I've been to. I'm a vegetarian but I still love it here because of the various veggie burgers options and sides that I can choose from. I also love the unlimited diet coke. The sauces make the meal for me every time.

A couple of days after my first RYN's reviewers dinner I was back in London and back in Nandos, this time the Clink street branch at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. This branch is one of my favourites for the beautiful building and its decor, layout and wonderful Thames side views as the restaurant is right on the south bank of the river. I was here to meet a couple of friends after work for diner and a catch up.

Never has it been more frustrating to write an RYN review as for this branch (the fact I'm writing this with a giant smile on my face having watched Liverpool beat City notwithstanding); it was just so damn inconsistent!

Visited London for the day, and with the prospect of free chicken, a Nando's was scouted out. Visiting Tower Bridge, this seemed to be the closest along the route I was taking through the day.

So, onto my last venture for the evening and I had planned to go to Vauxhall, so had a leisurely 1.5 mile walk from Elephant and Castle to help walk off my three Nando's so far... but once I got there, it was closed due to a private bash (which sadly wasn't advertised on the website/Twitter), but I was given a voucher for five free hot wings - so not bad after all!

I visited this branch twice in June in very different circumstances and both were absolutely perfect! The first visit was late on a Sunday night when the branch was maybe a quarter full when we arrived and we were the last to leave. Service was perfect (food beat me to the table) and portion sizes were huge.

The combination of a visit to this Nando's branch and then a cinema outing at the BFI round the corner is quickly becoming a ritual for me - we popped in here before going to see Mulholland Drive this week.

We were welcomed and shown to our table very quickly, and the guy who seated us was friendly and efficient. There was a children's birthday party going on, but he mercifully seated us across the dining area so we didn't hear more than the occasional squeal.

This Southbank store is close to London Bridge tube and train station in a part of London I hadn't visited before. First off the surroundings are great, you approach either by going through the old meat, fish and grain markets most of which have been turned into trendy wine bars for the bourgeois, or past the historic Southwark cathedral which is a true tourist trap and the medieval "Clink" prison and finally it could be approached by the pathway next to the riverside.

I love this branch, this was the third time I've been there, and the first branch I visited since moving to London, the location and design of the restaurant is just great, It's only a short walk from London Bridge station, along a few roads and alleyways.

It has big arches under the bridge with windows and lovely views over the river. The branch is pretty big so it's good that it has more than one drink machine and ice machine.

Already described the decor in a previous review...this branch is a bit of a Nando's legend.

As for today's visit, the staff did their job well and the guy on the till who served me was a particularly cheerful chap who attempted to guess my sauce preference. Guessing 'Hot' would normally be taken as a huge insult, but he was just so damn cheerful I can't put the staff down to a 3/5 despite a later mess up when bringing my order.

With regard to the decor I can only reinforce that which I said in my previous review. It is a cut above the usual Nando's! However, the whole visit was overshadowed by some rather unnecessary staff rudeness. When we got there we asked to be seated in one of the alcoves that overlook the Thames. The woman then rudely said 'No' and I looked at her rather shocked.

Who changed the sauce? My Nandos appetitte is decreasing because of this. Not sure if this is just a London thing, but the Nandos peri-peri sauce has changed (in bad :(), I have experienced it on at least 3/4 branches in London.
Everything else is tasty as always! Go Nandos! :)

Best thing about this Nando's is the decor! Its under the train bridge near London Bridge station. In a large space with high ceilings, it is possible to get seats overlooking the Thames if you are lucky! Some very interesting chandeliers hanging, including a huge disco ball! Nice artwork as well. Service was slow though restaurant was very busy. Food wasn't quite up to the dripping in sauce standard but a very nice wrap and large breasts. Would definitely revisit!
