Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

The West Midlands is lucky to have some amazing new Nando's open in the last 3 months or so and I have had great experiences at all of them (Walsall in June and Sutton Coldfield in early September). Now I can add West Bromwich Nando's to the list!

I was lucky enough to visit West Bromwich Nando's around 6 weeks after opening before the Arsenal match at the Hawthorns. This Nando's is particularly impressive from the outside with a large glass front giving you a real feel for the restaurant before you go in. The artwork towards the back on the left as you walk in is eclectic and effective. There are some circular booths and standard seating too, all below the lights which dangle down from the ceiling. 5 for décor without doubt.

Huw and I were warmly welcomed and seated at table 17. We went up to order with manager Phil who was unimpressed that this was the 113th Nando's I'd been to (all Ryan's fault! We had a good chat with him and then took our seats.

Food arrived swiftly and I could hardly contain my excitement! The chicken was actually covered in sauce with the peri-peri goodness dripping off it. This is likely to mean it was served almost as soon as it got off the grill as the area where the plates sit when ready can dry the chicken out rapidly. There was plenty of peri salt on my chips and the halloumi was great as usual. It can only be a 5 for the food which left me truly satisfied!

The meal was followed by a casual stroll down to the Hawthorns (nothing like a good walk on a stomach full of peri-peri chicken) to see Arsenal beat the Baggies on penalties. What more could I possibly ask for? Will be back soon!
