Was in Somerset for the day, so popped into this new Nando's on my way back up the M5. It's located in Dolphin Square, which currently just houses Nando's. A Pizza Express is opening at the end of November, but nothing else seems to be happening to the other 10 units or so just yet. There aren't any road signs showing the way to Dolphin Square, but if you follow the signs for Carlton Street parking, you'll get to the nearest car park. This is priced £1.30/1hr, £2.30/2hrs, £3.50/3hrs, £5/4hrs and £10/all day. There is a big Tesco nearby as well, so you could chance 2 hours free parking there. Weston-super-Mare train station is just a quarter mile walk away. It's right by the sea, so a nice stroll along the promenade is to be had too.

Arrived here at around 3:30pm and there were only a few tables in use. There are some tables outside, but as a lot of Dolphin Square is still a building site, it probably wouldn't be too nice... Inside you have this big wicker/lattice effect that runs around the walls and high up to the ceiling - and in the front half of the restaurant there are these big white balls hanging down. I don't know if they are lights or just decoration... There's a good mix of seating too with three large circular booths in the front half and further booths towards the back and plenty of table/chair sets. Toilets are at the back and clad in yellow/white triangle tiles.

The food came in under five minutes and was delicious. The size compared with my last one at Stevenage was much bigger - there was plenty of meat on the half chicken and it was piping hot and very saucy. The chip portion was large and all were hot and crispy and the rice was also piping hot, moist and spilling out of the bowl. Absolutely delicious.

Staff were nice but were doing as expected.
