How busy was it? A few tables occupied
Time of day? Weekday lunch
Additional Comments: This branch has been recently refurbished and it definitely shows even if some parts still lack the classic Nando's feel. The booths downstairs have an outer space feeling to them and while the seating is very comfortable, the current table is not quite big enough to fit. You can of course order downstairs too where the whole range of cutlery, drinks and sauces are available.
On this particular visit, our party was the only one in the downstairs seating area as it was not a particularly busy Wednesday lunch time.
My order was taken straight away and the food arrived within 10 minutes. It was nice to be asked if I had a preference as I had a free quarter chicken then ordered another quarter to go with it as well as my double peri chips. Many keen Nandoers remain unaware that you can choose leg or breast when you have a quarter (free or not), maybe more Nandocas should make this clear when customers are ordering, just a thought!
Although my preference was for one leg and one breast, I was served two breasts (more meat you would suspect) along with 2 decent portions of peri chips. The food went down well even though I was not fully satisfied on completion. Maybe a starter or dessert would have done the job.
This branch is centrally located in Soho and if you approach it from Greek Street, then turn left onto Bateman Street, you will walk past the most impressive piece of decor: the mammoth red cockerel which sits in the restaurant window. You can't miss it and no doubt the puns will be flowing as was the case on this visit!

Additional Comments: This branch is just off Soho Square - and from the outside, you'd be forgiven in thinking it was closing down! Could do with a nice lick of paint to spruce it up - but maybe that's what passes as trendy these days... Inside it's reasonably decorated - as you'd expect for a fashionable area of London. Could probably be better though, especially when you see branches like Covent Garden.
I went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet - so there was no wait to be seated, to order or for the chicken to come.
With it being so quiet I was expecting a better piece to what I got - but it certainly wasn't bad.
With it being in Soho then the only way to get to it is by Tube!

Additional Comments: Great location just off Soho Square with really nice decor and friendly staff. They mixed up our orders slightly (I got the extra hot intended for my friend and he got the hot I ordered), but it was still enjoyable. I've had better from this branch before, but it's always a good choice for those wanting chicken.| | Friendliness of Staff | Speed of Service

Additional Comments: A nicely decorated Central London branch with an interesting staircase that might just be a bit too narrow. Staff are friendly and food quality is generally above average. Highly recommended.
