7th Street - snowcover Review
This was the very first Nando's branch in the US and looks/feels exactly like a UK Nando's. It's just a big open area with some rows of booths and a bunch of round tables. It's one of the most crowded branches in the DC area, and the space is very cramped, and you will be uncomfortable unless you are lucky enough to end up in the very back of the restaurant. Most of the tables in the front area are so close together that it's an adventure trying to make your way to/from your table, and some are even right up against the queue, so all the hungry future diners are staring at your food the whole time they're waiting. There's also nowhere for people to stand whilst waiting for a table to open up, so you end up with mobs of people in random spots throughout the restaurant. Also, in the winter, you will get blasted by cold air from the doorway if you are anywhere within 20 feet of the entrance.
Other than the physical space issues, everything else about this branch is standard. Being right in the middle of Chinatown, there is no parking unless you want to pay $20+ for underground parking nearby, so public transport is the best option (luckily, it's very close to the Gallery Place station, which is served by three out of the six metro lines).
