I eat in Nandos in Union Square relatively regularly, it is always good but what normally lets it down for me is the staff, they often seem bored and uninterested. However, on Saturday there was a girl, I think she was new, relatively petite, with short redish hair and a Glasgow accent, who was LOVELY! She seemed quite nervous and was being shown around by someone else (this is why I am assuming she was new, perhaps even a trial shift?), but she came across as actually interested when she was checking on our meal, even if she was a little nervous. When we were finished, she was wandering around by herself, and noticed we were done so came over to clear our plates, she apologised for being slow as she was still learning, but no apology was necessary as she was over to our table faster than ANY of the other staff normally are, and we helped her stack the plates so she could balance them all. I work as a manager in a restaurant, and we have seen many new staff (some good and some bad), and I was very impressed with her. She always seemed to be looking for something to do, she spoke to customers and just generally looked happy to be there. We were in at about 6pm, if that helps work out which girl it was, will definitely be coming back if she is on.
