Al Ain Mall - James RYN Review
Nando's in Al Ain is in the nicely air conditioned Al Ain Mall, with lots of free parking outside and in a covered garage. On a roasting hot 40 degree spring day, we opted to park under cover!
The decoration was nice and the restaurant very clean. It wasn't very busy when we arrived about 2pm, but got busier as the time went on - perhaps they like to eat later in The Emirates? There were also some special booths for the local clientele, which were behind a tiled wall, where presumably the women can eat without their face veils on. We saw a few using these during the time we were there.
As is usual in The Emirates, we ordered at the table, and unfortunately a few things went wrong: only 2 of our 3 drinks were brought over, my chips had no peri spice, and they forgot my mayonnaise. All quickly rectified, but some more attention to detail would have been nice.
As for the food, it was rather average as I've experienced previously in the UAE. I went for a pulled chicken wrap, which sounded great in theory, but tasted more like pulled pork and coleslaw; I definitely wouldn't recommend it or go for it again!
Overall, a fun Nando's to visit due to its remoteness, though my quest for an above average UAE Nando's experience continues...
