Aldershot - Pompey Ranger Review
This new leisure complex in Aldershot is set around a Piazza with numerous restaurants surrounding including Toby carvery, Prezzo and an all you can eat chinese to name a few. One of the main draws in the giant Cineworld cinema which is directly opposite the store. It also has a Asda which doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the complex. We parked in the Asda car park which is down below and provides 3 hours parking for visitors before heading up to the open level on the travelator.
The store is a single room single level area with glass doors along the frontage and a double door system to stop the wind and rain and several seats and tables placed hopefully outside in the piazza (but being February and cold we didn't avail ourselves of them!).
The ceiling is decorated with metal strips making up numerous squares around the lights, the back wall is rustically plastered, the right hand wall is predominantly wood planks interspersed with artwork, the left wall houses the serving area which is lavishly decorated with sauce bottles on 2 rows and further crowned with a row of wine bottles which appear to be full. The centre is occupied by the seating which varies from a few colourful soft seated booths and lots of tables some with bright stripy forms and some with chairs. the toilets were clean, spacious, well lit and had a dyson air blades.
The food didn't take too long and was very well cooked and good portion size and really hit the spot, the chicken skin was cooked just to my liking and the chips were golden and hot. The whole table had its food brought out within a few minutes. Our table had its own sauce bottle receptical separating it from the other half of the table.
I was happy with this store and would be happy to revisit it again
