Bagatelle - Mall of Mauritius - James RYN Review
The third Nando's of our Mauritius trip, and the second of the day, we arrived quite tired at the Mall of Mauritius, on a blustery (and slightly rainy) Friday evening. This mall is the largest in Mauritius (hence the name), and it was full of people spending an evening out at the many restaurants, shops, and cinema. Parking was free and easy in one of the many spaces outside the main complex.
The decoration at this Nando's was a comfortable 4/5, and like the others we had been to, it was very similar to a new-ish UK branch. This was also the busiest international Nando's I have ever been to, with a proper queuing system in place, and a roughly 15 minute wait for a table.
With the restaurant being as busy as it was, I suspected this might be where the table service shows its weaknesses, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was well staffed and we were seen to very quickly.
As for the food, it was still very good, but not in the same league as the 5/5 I had experienced earlier in the day and the night before. The butterfly chicken breast was a bit tough, and there wasn't as much sauce covering it. It seems they never bring the chips our with peri-spice on here even if you order it - either that or we have been unlucky 3 times in a row.
Overall another solid Nando's.
