Baker Street - Gerry Louis Review
RYN Spicy 16 was a great affair: A few newbies at the table, met Elliott, I didn't win the quiz or any vouchers but I think a good time was had by all..
I got there a little early and went in, luckily Marc was already there with a few tables picked out and Blayne said where we were sitting.
The toilets were disgusting in that place, which is why they get a 3 and not a 4 for cleanliness as otherwise the rest of the restaurant was clean.
Lost in the raffle, and was first up to order my food. A little annoyed that they only have one kitchen here and the food is traversed across the restaurant and down stairs but what can you do... It got busier upstairs in the restaurant but down in the dungeon you could simply relax.
I ordered a half chicken, mango and lime, sweet mash, garlic bread and halloumi as a 5th off your meal makes a huge difference. My food was the first to arrive which was great and I couldn't wait to tuck into it as it all looked so good. The chicken was hot, cooked all the way through, saucy, juicy and tender. The mash, was like a mini mountain, just right. The halloumi was grilled just the way I like it and the garlic bread, hmm superb...
normally when I eat alone I take away the cockerel so the staff don't bothering me when I'm eating... could not get away from it this time, they all just kept coming over to find out if everything was okay... It could have been that they were being over attentative to us, but I hope that they are generally like that.
Again lost in the quiz but there was great teamwork and I hope the others liked it as well for their first time.
