Bath - James Street - Marc Joss Review
James Street Nando's is in the heart of Bath in the same building as an Odeon cinema (£9 normal adult ticket), some other eateries and a pub. As you go in, you can see a Nando's menu on the ground floor which tempts you to make your way up to the top floor where Nando's is located. I arrived with SVC after the drive over from London and we embarked on our mission to conquer Bath Nando's over 3 days. There were only a handful of other parties in the restaurant when we arrived and we were seated inside (there's quite a bit of seating outside Nando's but in the building) on one of the tables for two with space for one person on the comfortable sofa.
The décor is rather impressive with artwork lining the walls although to my right I did notice a fairly big chunk of white wall left without any South African art. The ceiling is high and tables seem well spaced out so 4 overall.
Staff were very friendly and chatty, partially due to how quiet it was. Our food was brought over after 7 or 8 minutes but it was far from the best. My chicken was a bit small but covered in sauce, the halloumi was also the smallest I've ever seen. Luckily I was satisfied on completion due to my consumption of a starter but SVC's chicken wrap was not as tasty or saucy as the one she'd had two nights previously at the RYN Reviewer Event.
Let's see how Bath Vaults compares on Friday lunchtime!
