Bayswater - Blaynos Review
Headed over to Bayswater during my lunch break for a Nando's takeaway. It's located on the corner of Westbourne Grove & Kensington Garden Square and you can spot it from a fair distance as it stands out amidst the neighbouring shops.
Initially when trying to get in, there was a young child blocking the door with a scooter which was somewhat random - although I don't blame Nando's for that obviously... But when I did get inside, there was no Nandoca to greet me and, worse still, as I reached the front of the queue, one of the cashiers decided to leave his till for no apparent reason other to just stand there and do nothing. Awful service. Maria (I think!), who did serve me, saves a '2' rather than the bottom score. Now, admittedly, my food came very quickly, probably within 5mins but there's no point in being quick if ain't done well (hence not getting the top score). It was a pretty underwhelming chicken fillet burger with a distinct lack of sauce. The halloumi side was good though.
The branch itself appears to be over two floors although I stayed on the lower level. It's very small downstairs, in a long rectangular shape. I do prefer the newer larger, open area, looking Nando's and while some of the older and smaller branches have character, this one does not. Nothing to see here, quite frankly, go to Kensal Rise or Notting Hill instead.
