Stag last weekend, wedding this weekend; stopped off at this rare service station Nando’s branch while on a road trip (of sorts) to Warwickshire. It’s a motorway services like no other (J2 M40, free parking for 3hrs), filled with restaurants and the controversial Spoons branch – there’s even a Patisserie Valerie. Nando’s is located towards the back left of the centre.

It’s a nice enough branch although tables might feel a little squashed (especially the ‘open-booth’ type seating in the middle, which are separated by a small table-fence, which is a unique touch. Drinks and sauce station are around a corner, where there is more seating as well.

Had a red reward to use so went for a butterfly burger with peri chips and garlic bread (and halloumi). The burger was good (I added more hot sauce), as were the chips and halloumi, while the garlic bread was average.

Staff and service felt a bit slow, rather like the sleepy mid-afternoon lull we found the restaurant in, but no real complaints.
