Beckenham - Ryan Review
This Nando's is on the High Street and just a moment's walk from an Odeon Cinema. Parking is cheap and very close too. Village Way car park is just behind the High Street and is the biggest (it's a multi-storey) and priced at 50p per hour up to a max of £4.00 (all day), charged between 7:30am-7:30pm. A Sainsbury's is beneath the car park and shoppers can reclaim the parking (not sure of the exact spend or how much can be claimed back). Beckenham Junction train and tram stops are less than half a mile walk away too.
This Nando's has two doors on the front and it seems like there used to be two shops here at one time... There are two rows of booths that back on to each other down the middle of the restaurant and then tables and chairs for the rest. Toilets are found down a corridor to the back where there re four individual unisex cubicles.
A lot of the booths have dark upholstery with white patterned leaves - which kinda match all of the black surfaces on the tills, counters and in the toilets which are illuminated with white/silver discs.
Most of the restaurant is clad in wood - with small red cones for lampshades for the lighting. A nice thing here is that there are big cutout/setback alcoves on the two side walls which are then fully painted directly onto the walls.
I ordered chicken burger and chips - and it came in four minutes. The chicken fillet was a bit rubbery and had that reformed chicken breast feel about it... but the rest of the burger and the chips were fine.
Staff were fine.
