Belfast - Victoria Square - Ryan Review
So... another 26.2 miles down and what better way to comfort eat than another Nando's??
Parking is wildly different and many car parks have very different opening times. For example, if you don't mind the 10 minute walk, park over the river by Titanic/Odyssey for approx 90p/hr - but park in Victoria shopping centre for £3/hr!
This one is up on the third floor of the Victoria Centre. It is well worth going right to the top of the centre for a 360 Belfast view from the atrium.
As you approach there are about 12 tables outside. It's very open plan and as you walk you notice this large wooden circle for the ceiling with all the seating below this in a circle - with a bench running around the outside of it.
On the right wall from the entrance are a few booths each with a piece of artwork on the wall above them. Over to the left wall are some high tables and then beyond this, past the drinks machine, there are another 10 two-seater tables stretching way back to the toilet. Above these 10 seats is an impressive 25 ft long mural covering the wall - but it really is the only thing of note with the decor.
There are a couple beige cylindrical shades above the booths to the right of the entrance but then no other hanging lights at all. And apart from the mural and three paintings above the booths there is no other colour - just lots of beige walls and small spotlights for lighting.
There was no wait for a table and the food came in 17 minutes. Compared to the night before - and how hungry I was after the run... this was a very average meal. The chicken was a standard size, just about moist enough with sufficient sauce. The chip portion was average sized as was the rice and both were hot enough. Bang on average.
The toilets at the back had your standard black marble and beige walls.
Staff were fine and doing as expected.
