Berners Street - Gerry Louis Review

Another fun filled, exciting Reviewer Dinner at my 62nd Nando's. Easy to find though it was a little walk away from the nearest tube station Oxford Street.
Despite Pompey saying this was a bad branch, they really excelled for me. I quickly ran to get served after the raffle as last time I was near the end so had to wait for ages, but this time I was first and my food came really quickly.
This store had it together better than Soho Square, the portion size of the sweet mash was, dare I say perfect? it was enough for me, normally I'm wanting more food afterwards but I felt full, there were no lumps and the colour of the mash was just right. The mash is normally what I complain about but it was really good.
And the chicken... Oh the chicken was sooo good! I made a change by adding 5 wings with my usual half chicken, both really smothered in sauce, both cooked through, smoking hot, I really enjoyed everything and nothing was burnt which is great as well.
The only down side was that I had to go upstairs to get lemon and herb sauce because the shelves had not been restocked but otherwise the staff kept coming over to check we were ok and needed anything and the restaurant was generally clean.
