Bethnal Green - Marc Joss Review
I enjoyed my visit to this Nando's even though the surrounding areas are not particularly special. The location is actually rather convenient as Bethnal Green Central Line station is a 5 minute walk and Shoreditch is only 7 or 8 minutes away in the other direction. If you are planning a Wednesday evening visit to the Comedy Cafe on Rimington Street, this Nando's is well placed for you to have a chance to walk off your food before ths free stand up starts.
We were immediately given a table and had a very interesting chat with the branch manager before placing our orders. Apparently individual branch Facebook pages are soon to be banished (a concept backed up by Edgware branch manager Vinnie), watch this space...
Food was great but the only problem was the wait between the arrival of my food and that of my friends. It should always be a priority to bring all the food to a table at the same time (especially when the party is only 4 people and the branch is not that busy) but of course we would not have wanted that at the cost of having cold food! I was left surprisingly unfull after my half chicken and two peri chips. Luckily I was left the carcass of my friend's quarter chicken to ravage. The sauce was plentiful and a nice touch was the huge bowl of extra extra hot sauce which was brought to the table by the manager due to there being no black bottles in circulation.
All in all, a good Nando's.
