Bethnal Green - Gerry Louis Review
One of the best restaurants so far this year, haha!
Got there just before seven, Cydnie let us pick a decent table right by the cutlery stuff and was very nice during the food ordering process. Knew what she was doing and was very helpful and smiley happy, she's definitely got the Nando's spirit!
Food of a half chicken, three wings all mango and lime, sweet mash, garlic bread, and two halloumi all brought over plus Jackie's food less than ten minutes wait. it was all hot, the mash tasted great, nothing was overly burnt, the halloumi was nicely toasted and the chicken was so saucy there were chunks of lime on top.
Easy enough to get to, exit the underground on the Bethnal Green road side and walk for less than ten minutes, passing McDonalds, it's well lit so easy to find and Barcelos is raised higher than other signs so look out for him.
lucky we got there when we did as the restaurant filled out after we got there, the booth table behind us having three sets of couples during our dinner. The restaurant is separated into two sections, the first as you come in with a few tables and the rest through a small gangway with two two seater booth tables. There are scattered paintings at the front and wooden urns in the middle, wooden decorations at the back. The toilets are down stairs, they weren't amazing but at least they weren't like Kilburn from yesterday.
