Need to start doing these reviews sooner after visiting because my memory goes all hazy otherwise!

Having started a new job in the City the previous week, I fancied a Nando's for lunch - but I know from previous experience how horrendous One New Change is (the nearest one) so I decided to hop on the Central Line from St. Paul's to Bethnal Green and pick up a pre-ordered Nando's. It was both a good and bad choice...

Even though it's only a couple of stops, it feels like a world away (as clichéd) as it sounds. The 5-7min walk between the station and the restaurant sees you walk through a very old-fashioned street market, full of ethnically diverse products. It's a fairly underwhelming high street and the Nando's is pretty unassuming but I was pleasantly surprised once inside. It's been kept in very good order and very clean too, with a well-stacked service station. Best of all, it wasn't even remotely busy! I arrived early so had to wait for my chips to be made (fair enough).

Bad: No peri salt. Even though I'd asked for it, and I saw two Nandoca's discussing it, I didn't get any. Of course, I'd already left by the time I'd got the food so didn't bother going back, but that was disappointing. The chicken burger was decent enough, and the chips were ok too but nothing spectacular. Service was a solid 3/5, could've been better, could've been worse.

Would I return? Probably not.
