Bicester - Pioneer Square - Pompey Ranger Review
This store is part of a new development on the edge of the centre of the small town of Bicester, it has a host of parking in the multi-storey car park which is above the large Sainsburys which is the anchor store of the development. You get up to 2 hours free parking during the day and free after 7pm, the system uses a number plate recognition system so you need to remember your reg when you go to pay if you over stay the free period, another perk is a red / green light system above each parking space which makes it easier finding that space and also stops you being tricked at a distance by small cars. Sainsbury's wisely has its front door directly opposite the Nandos, also surprisingly Tescos express makes up the 3rd corner of the triangle. There are public benches in the piazza outside plus a couple of tables and chairs behind Nandos planters directly in front of the store, I doubt anyone use them at this time of the year but the store are staking out their territory.
The welcomer was very friendly and advised that we would need to sit upstairs which was fine with us, she had a good sense of humour and laughed at our jokes when we were picking our table. The staff at the counter were friendly too as was the people who served the tables.
The chips were good and plentiful, the haloumi cheese very nice, their homous and pitta was spot on too, the chicken was cooked beyond our liking and whilst it was nice inside the skin was overcooked on the outside. The peri sprinkle was plentiful as well.
Really enjoyed this store and the staff were attentive and decor good, would happily come again.
