Birmingham - Broad Street - thealicat Review
A trip to the cinema almost always begins (or ends) with a Nandos, so I wasn't expecting anything special from this vist, but this must have been the tastiest Nandos I have had all year.
This branch is always busy, and despite there being just two of us, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, no problem as its nice to catch up. It also gave us time to think about what to order, while the new butterlfy chicken burger looked tempting I decided to go veggie, and I definitely made the right choice. I ordered veggie pitta hot (-mayo -tomato +halloumi) with a side of peri chips and a side of spicy rice.
When the pitta came I decided there was some room left in there (because i have asked for no salad) so deciced to cram in some spicy rice, my gamble paid off. It was such a nice meal that I will be making this my default menu choice form now on. It helped that the peri chips were perfectly cooked, not to much spice, not to little.
The food turned an otherwise average Nandos visit into a memorable one, defintiely more memorable than Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow (I should have stayed for a second Nandos instead.....)
Ps. With the veggie, beanie and mushroom main course options. I would say Nandos does better than most for veggie options!
