I knew there was no way this Nando's visit was gonna be as good as Grand Central but one still hopes.. Took a bit of a while to find this branch even after asking for directions but it's in the Fiveways just at the side.
Had already done the Bullring, the now closed Paradise Forum and the Mailbox my last visit to Birmingham so a new, close to town branch was chosen so just had to walk in the rain to this branch passing the Birmingham Central Library which is an art in itself. I also gave blood during my walk to Broad Street Nando's so needed to restock my blood after losing it from my last Nando's.
Got there just around 2pm and there were only a few tables with customers. Again i picked table 5 in the window but the staff here aren't so hot on greeting customers like at grand central. They're nice enough again that sweet Brummie kindness but just not enough. Just a 1/4 chicken and mash this time and it arrived in 8 minutes.
They gave me a large breast piece. Thougg there was plenty of sauce, the wing was missing!!!!! I like to the eat the wing first then move on to the rest of the chicken to eat with the mash but that wasn't possible. . The meal was good but they can't get a 5 cos of that missing wing. The mash was plentiful and tasted nice too.
Hmm.. The toilets what can I say... Up a long flight of stairs at the back of the restaurant, one was blocked with ****, the other had no tissue so the one I did use requires you to straddle the toilet before you can close the door.. Why???? They get a 3 for this because keeping the toilet in that condition whilst looking g after the main part is just slacking.
