This review is as a result to an upsetting visit to Nando’s in Blackpool. As a birthday tradition we have always visited Nando’s and as I celebrated this year in Blackpool we was excited to carry on tradition in this store. Me, my sister and 2 nephews arrived at the restaurant around 12:30 on Saturday 16th of June to be asked to wait for a table (we are used to this so wasn’t bothered). A table was free in the upstairs section of the restaurant and we was asked to use the lift to be seated upstairs. After waiting several minuets for the lift to arrive because of a staff member holding it upstairs we got in the lift. When In the waiter didn’t talk to us just pressed a button and got out. We went up in the lift and the doors didn’t open. At this point we was getting worried, we went down to -1 where no one was there so we went back to floor 0 and the doors didn’t open. After waiting and pressing for the door open the out of order sign came across the screen, we decided it was time to ring the bell as my two nephews was getting very distressed. The lift finally opened back on the floor we started and we got out. By this time we had had enough and new we was leaving. Before leaving I spoke to a member of staff wearing a light blue tshirt (assuming a manger) who was quiet shocked at our experience. She explained that they can’t hear the bell which is outrageous as this could have got a lot worse if we was stuck in for a long time. She took my name and address on a piece of till roll and offered to send out some vouchers. I still haven’t reviewed these vouchers. All in all I am very upset my visits to nandos was spoiled and I hope to god hasn’t put any fears of lifts into my nephews.
