Bournemouth - BH2 - Marc RYN Review
BH2 seems to be exactly what central Bournemouth needed, given how busy every eatery was on a Thursday night in late July and the Odeon cinema next door was also buzzing.
Parking is touch and go as although BH2 has a car park, when we arrived it was full and we opted for the outdoor pay and display car park opposite, just about managing to grab a space in dramatic circumstances. Expect to pay £1.50-£2 per hour no matter the time or day of the week!
We were told it would be a 20-minute for a table of three and so we went for a walk, bought some shells at the market and came back in the nick of time. This is a colourful Nando's with some lovely tables on the terrace. We ordered straight away and our starter (halloumi sticks) had arrived before I got back to the table!
The main courses were good, although my wife and I could've done with some more peri salt. I can't give it less than a 3 given how spicy and tasty it was overall. My mum struggled with mango & lime chicken livers because they were too spicy and asked for a butterfly breast instead. I was rather ashamed, but it's further proof that the livers are the spiciest item on the menu!
Manager Roberto was very friendly and the Nandoca dealt with the meal change request politely and efficiently. Central Bournemouth certainly needed this Nando's and I wouldn't be surprised if another one popped up in the next few years!
