Really good chicken today. Whilst it was not my first Nando's visit to this restaurant, I had a few firsts on this visit. Despite being told on mass not to order the mashed potatoes at Nando's as it's not great (and mash being one of my favourite foods) I went for it, after years of hesitations. The verdict - good!! I had such low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I can now add peri peri sauce to one of my favourite foods. I ordered a 1/4 chicken, mash and corn on the cob. The service was great, really friendly, the food was so quick to arrive We hadn't sat down at the table yet. My only gripe was that the 20% emergency services discount was only used for for the chicken and nothing else on the menu to the total of £1.44 -a bit disappointing. All round very good Nando's experience :). Parking busy as always in this spot but if you keep going around you will get one. Unique aspects: across the road from Castle Point shopping centre. Always good.
