Bracknell - Pompey Ranger Review
This store is in the new Lexicon shopping precinct that Bracknell has built over top and with the purpose of forgetting it's previous 60s monstrosity of a town centre. Very new it looks impressive at present but many stores are not occupied yet and being modern I hope it doesn't age fast. Well provisioned with a cinema, Waitrose, marks and sparks and a Sainsburys along with many food outlets from mc Donald to Tangs buffet.
I parked in the high st car multistory car park which cost me £2.50 for a couple of hours and is a moderate walk from the store.
The store has a wooden diamond exterior with many draping plants. The inside is also wooden on two floors. The back has some large round booths the front tables an chairs. There is also a seating area out the front.
The welcoming staff member was very friendly and welcoming and informed me that there was a 15 minute wait for a table, though I noticed when I went up for the toilet a lot of empty tables but I realise it's the kitchens struggling. Unfortunately the till staff upstairs weren't quite as friendly.
Once i got a table and ordered my food took exactly 24 minutes to come out and I was getting a little wound up.
Plenty of chips well cooked, rice done well, and the chicken was well cooked and succulent even if was on the small side.
Check backs were done properly.
My dessert of choc a lot cake did come out a lot quicker.
