Braintree - Marc Joss Review
As this was the closest Nando's to Stansted airport that the team was yet to visit, we headed there as soon as I landed from rainy Seville!
Getting there was simple enough with free parking right outside, always a bonus! We were offered our choice of seating on entering and went for a booth towards the back of the restaurant. There are 25 tables in this relatively small Nando's but it's full of character. The lighting in the centre is rather impressive and the back wall is littered with small paintings which catch the eye.
Our orders were taken swiftly with a particularly friendly Nandoca who was happy to put through James' mixed extra hot and mango & limo sauce request without kicking up a fuss. Food arrived 7-8 minutes later but I must say I was disappointed to see my half chicken was slightly dry and the end of the wing looked deformed. I informed a passing Nandoca of my disappointment and was offered another wing dripping in sauce to make up for it, great stuff!
There is a cinema nearby which is a winner for the classic cinema & Nando's combination. On a personal level, having been uninspired by the local area, I'd say it's unlikely I'd return to this one given the distance but recommended for those in the area.
