Having just completed three months on a very-low-calorie diet and shifting the last of the 10 stone I've been working on losing over the last six months, I felt I had thoroughly earned myself a good Nandos, and I was back in Bristol from my studies in London so felt a good catch-up with my friend Kirstisorous was in order. As always the staff were super-friendly and attentive without being overly forward like they can be in some restaurants; despite it being pretty busy we were sat quickly and everything was clean and well stocked- always a good thing- and our food came out in good time. All good so far. The food itself- now I don't know if this is because I've eaten nothing but milkshakes and powdered soups since Xmas- but the food was EXCEPTIONALLY LOVELY! We had a half-chicken which was just melt-in-the-mouth lovely, red pepper dips which were divine, some spicy nuts which were exceptionally great and the good ol' standard lemon-and-herb pitta with a side of salad and mash, which was delicious (Plenty of Garlic Peri Peri on the Salad too, YUMTASTIC!)! I literally think it may have been the nicest Nando's I've ever had, which is quite the compliment since I'm yet to be anything less than exceptionally pleased. Unfortunately now all I want is Nando's and nothing else, and every time I'm in a Zumba class with their latin-american-inspired music, my cravings increase. How soon is too soon to revisit?!!
