This Nando's is at The Venue at Cribbs which is an additional leisure park to The Mall. There's a Vue, a Hollywood Bowl, an Anytime Fitness gym and other eateries. As with the rest of Cribbs Causeway, there are thousands of free parking spaces and it's just off J17 of the M5, so best gotten to by car.

I arrived here at about 10:15pm and other than one table of four I was the only customer in the there, so it was pretty quiet - and the food took just under 15 minutes to come.

This opened just before Xmas, so I was hoping for a nicely decorated branch and I wasn't disappointed. The wall/ceiling above the till and then all the way down the right side to the back/toilets is jagged and wavy. The upholstery on all the booths are all different coloured fabrics and leather. There's lots of different lighting - red metal shades, some smaller red shades at the front in the shape of a heart and also some lighting set into the walls of some of the booths. There is a big mixture of seating (with a lot of booths) from the front right to the back of the restaurant - including two big curved booths right at the bag.

The food that came was enormous. A huge portion of rice, chips and chicken - it really was massive... but sadly, it was all very dry. The rice was dry, the chips weren't cooked and the chicken (although caked in sauce) was very dry inside.

The staff were generally doing as expected, except James who gave me a free combo meal chicken cheque! I was claiming a half chicken on my card and for whatever reason the green reward went on my olives without anything being touched on the till, apparently. It meant the value was only £4.50 of the order so no chilli on my card and I wasn't too fussed... but James gave me a chicken cheque to make up for it! Free food means a bonus point.

Also, just an odd point... in my bowl of olives, I was given 23 toothpicks by the girl on the till! More toothpicks than olives :-)
