Bristol - Cribbs Venue - Pompey Ranger Review

Opening Day!! This store is close to the existing Cribbs Causeway Mall store but so much better being an actual store as opposed to a gap in a food court. It is part of the Cribbs Causeway Venue leisure complex along with Vue cinema and a Hollywood Bowl in addition to kfc, pizza express and other eatery competition. Parking is easy due to the massive free car park that surrounds the stores and access is easy being just off the M5 motorway.

The store has a glass front and when you enter through the double door system you find a row of stools for waiting area. There is soft seating and forms along the left hand wall along with artworks on display. The serving area is on the right hand wall which is made up of curvy ribbed wooden wall. The sauce and beverage section are on an Island in the middle and was well laid out. The Toilets were spotless and the novelty stone sinks were really eye catching. On the ceiling was a heart made up of red tasselled lights (one of your lights is missing its protective wire cage to keep the tassles off the bulb so if it goes up in flames we know why)

Being the first day the store was chocker block of staff, some serving some sat eating and the head office staff sat on a table watching. I was served by 2 members of staff whom knew the till less well than me. When I asked for the Half chicken meal with 2 chips they said it would be better to get a large chips and called a manager over as this option wasn't on the till, he then told them to put it as a half chicken no sides and add a large chips. I then pointed out this was more expensive and he said well you can only have 2 small then!!!!! That's what I'd asked for!

When the meal came out the chicken was large and perfectly cooked with tons of chips which were hot. The food is spot on here and really enjoyable. I hope they keep these high standards up as they go on into the future.
