This store is in the modernist area of the Brunswick centre which somewhat resembles a set out of clockwork orange with its tiered residential flats and balconies up above the piazza framed with shops restaurants and a Waitrose store at the far end. It is a conveniently close to the Russell Square tube station and I would say finding parking close by would most likely be hard to do so at reasonable cost. The store which is set between a River Island, an empty unit and a Giraffe restaurant has glass fronting and frosted glass sun shade/ rain awning which continues all around the piazza. Inside the store is quite narrow but goes back a long way with a variety of seating. The toilets are downstairs, clean and spacious with 2 round sinks above wood pedestals. One of the few glitches of the store is there is quite a large amount of damp and discolouration on the ceiling above the stairs. Quite standard decoration and art work around the store, perhaps could do with a big iconic character piece.
I was sat very quickly and the staff were friendly giving me a quantity of choice of where I wished to sit. There was a bit of a queue at the counter when I was waiting to be served the reason for became evident when I reached the front as they had a trainee on the till. He was very much confused by my Scottish style Nandos card and my gift voucher which I had been given by Marc at the previous Rate your Nando's event for my best review of the month. Despite me trying to tell him to just swipe the Nando's card as normal he consulted the other member of staff who then called the manageress who came over to tell me it didn't work in England. Why don't staff just try and swipe it when they are uncertain!!! I was insistent that it did work as have used in numerous times in England and when they eventually did swipe it it worked fine (and as I walked back to my table checking my account on my phone the visit had already been recorded on-line) and they apologised for doubting me.
The food didn't take too long only about 8 minutes and it was definitely worth the wait with excellent portions cooked excellently. The chicken was spot on cooked to perfection, succulent, juicy, large, full of flavour and doused in the cooking marinade with skin and all intact. The Chip portion was good sized, hot and had a decadent dousing of peri peri salt. The Rice portion was generous and tasty. I would recommend all and sunder to visit this store for the well cooked food and good sized portions.
The staff did the customary checks on if it was ok and also if I wanted dessert (which I declined this day after seeing the Waitrose as I had my mind on a pot of their possett.) and all bided me well as I left the store.
Definitely a store to visit if you are ever in London or are taking someone to loose their Nandos virginity in its best form.
