Canary Wharf - Jubilee Place - Nicosarts Review
First Impressions:
This is a very well laid out, well lit and adequately decorated Nandoe’s situated in the heart of Canary Wharf. The restaurant is open plan and is situated inside the shopping mall alongside other open plan restaurants which gives it a very lively atmosphere; it is always clean and makes a nice pleasant environment to dine in at any time of the day.
The Staff:
The staff here are very welcoming and friendly, I find that their level of service is exceptional; they are very prompt to take down orders and are very keen to ensure that you have a good time. They are also very helpful when dealing with requests and if you are ordering a takeaway and your food hasn’t arrived; they will actively go around checking customers order numbers to make sure the food is brought out promptly and not left lying on the counter to get cold.
I have placed an order on a few occasions and found that my food arrived instantly on the table before I had time to pick up any cutlery/sauses and sit down!
The Food:
The most important bit about Nando’s for me and I’m guessing most people is the food; it is always cooked to perfection here without fail! I don't think I have ever tasted a chicken in any other Nando's quite like it, the amount of sauce is perfect and the chicken is grilled so well that I have felt like I wanted to drink it somehow because it tasted so good!
As I have visited this restaurant many times over the last few years I have tried pretty much everything on the menu, and when I say everything I mean everything from the peri nuts & olives to the halloumi cheeses', chicken wings, chicken burgers, chicken wraps/pittas, chicken pieces and all of the vegi and salad options and I have to say that the level of quality and taste of all of the dishes on the menu have been fantastic, even when I order peri-chips; the amount of peri-salt that they sprinkle on is just right every time!
The portion sizes here are also very generous, I've even been given extra chicken wings / chips on some visits.
Price / Discounts:
As well as the standard loyalty card album scheme and student discount, this particular restaurant also offers a 20% discount on the total price of the bill to employees who work in the vicinity of Canary Wharf (depending on the size of the company you work for and the amount of staff that visit the restaurant from your company) you can get a complete meal here for around £6 or less on showing your work pass/ID which is fantastic!
Transport:
The nearest tube stations to here are the Canary Wharf Underground station via the Jubilee line or the Canary Wharf DLR station. Both are around a few minutes away from the restaurant.
Parking here is also possible via the Waitrose car park and is free for the first two hours if you go shopping in Waitrose; you will need to ask for a parking token at the till after you have made a purchase of at least £10.
Near By Entertainment:
There are loads of things to do in canary wharf after you have finished your meal, depending on the time of day there are many shops to take a look at and also lots of different bars to visit during the evening, there is even a Cineworld Cinema not too far away over at West India Quay which is about 10 mins away on foot.
Overall Impressions:
My favourite Nando’s at the moment, it has outstanding service and friendly staff, exceptional quality and quantity of food, very good value for money and overall has 10 out of 10 from me!
