Canterbury - Gerry Louis Review
Nando's 140 and the last free Nando's of the weekend. Just £25 return from Victoria and a change at Ashford International or the direct route from Charing Cross or Waterloo East, whichever is easier and we were in Canterbury. The Nando's is on the main high street, plenty of shops you know and you don't and a few comic book shops and tattoo parlours as well as new age, hippy stuff too.
Got to the branch just before 5pm and we were seated and greeted straight away. "Have you heard about the new items on the menu? Yes. Don't hesitate to ask further questions then." Thought she was gonna say they were doing a discount for anyone wanting to try them out but no.. Also logged into the free wi-fi in the branch, not asking for any personal details, same as Maidstone which I forgot to mention.
Used my red reward for a free half chicken mango and lime, garlic bread and peri salt chips which arrived in six minutes. Yeah cool a quick delivery time but the chips were not as well cooked as I like, or that they could have been. They did give me a large portion of chips but the peri salt was barely there. The chicken was well cooked and sauced so no complaints there. The garlic bread was very well done.
When the lady came to deliver Elliott's food, I gave her the Barci stick. She said I don't need that now, and I said we don't want you to come back. She actually looked hurt and apparently it shocked the table behind us. I didn't mean to offend her but being asked about the food, with food in your mouth is so bad, I hate when they do that.
The toilets are upstairs where there is also more seating. It's an alright branch. We were sat In the back area where eight tables are squished together. The single man at the table next to us ordered the new steak and veggie wrap and it didn't look appealing. I won't eat it anyway because if the veggies but it looked horrible.
