Cardiff - St Davids - Ryan Review
Boy... I've NEVER wanted to get away from a Nando's but this one in St. Davids was an embarrassment to the Nando's name.
Housed within the St. David's shopping centre meant for fairly expensive parking - but understandable for a City Centre.
As you'd expect with such a busy shopping there were loads of restaurants available, so Nando's has to be on top of its game here!
First impressions were great - a queue of a couple of groups outside meant it must be busy inside - all anticipating their peri-peri goodness... This Nando's is over two floors too and they both lookout into the shopping centre so it's great for people watching... But that's all we were doing!
I was in a group of 6 and so we expected a little wait - but for some reason the upstairs only opened after we'd been queue-ing for 25 minutes!
When we were finally seated upstairs - there was one lad on the till and it must have been his first day. He kept taking the orders wrong and was blaming it on us - experienced Nandoers! Maybe it was a language barrier...
Next, we had a wait of over an hour for the food and when it came, it was terrible. Cold, greasy, flavourless - I almost cried at the shame it brought to the Nando's name. It wasn't just mine either, but every person in the group's was the same... cold, swimming in grease, pale, stringy... All the sides were just as bad as well. What made it worse was in the group was somebody's first time - and also probably their last!
Terrible.
