I am disappointed, I have been a few times now and they are all the same. Staff are always stood in groups chatting with one another. I walked in the door and it look about 5 minutes for me to be seated even though it wasn't that busy and when I was seated I was given a dirty table! it was sticky and had sauce on it.

Would like to thank the beautiful lady called Sophie. From the moment we walked through the door her smiling face and friendly personality lifted us. She really did go above and beyond. My son is autistic and this was his first independent visit and Sophie was so patient, kind and friendly. Thank you so much. If only we could have more Sophie’s in this world.

Well looked after today at Carlisle - only had to get up for the toilet. Ordering through the app was explained by our server- Al - who was very friendly. Millie was also fantastic - she kept an eye on our bottomless drinks, regularly offering refills, and checked everything was okay with our food. Very impressed - thank you!

There was 5 of us, we got seated straight away even though it was busy all the tables were full. We were served by James who was amazing! We were made to feel very welcome and full!
We had the double chicken burgers and fino pitta!

Although staff pleasant. Restaurant was cold when entered. Food had to be sent back as it was still chilled in the middle. For a first time visit to a Nandos I would say this wasnt the upmost best experience..

I had a butterfly chicken and it was amazing. A lovely lady called Bianca was looking after us and she was very friendly and helpful. Will be returning very soon.

Staff were really nice & friendly but it was disappointing to have to wait in a big queue while phone orders were being taken.
Food was good but if the plates had been warmed my chips would have been hot when they reached me. In fairness I was offered more chips but couldn't have eaten any more! (I ate them first before they were stone cold!)

Carlisle Nando's was an obvious draw on my trip up North because of how it sits isolated in the far North West of England. According to the manager, it is currently part of the North East region, despite being at least an hour away from any of the restaurants there. How would Nando's fare in such a location? It was time to find out.

Fire alarm kept going off (7X!!!!)! No Cutlery, upon asking manager he just brought knives, not plates, serviettes, forks in main area. Shoddy Nandos, Management running round as they had to shutdown cooking due to burnt food setting off alarms.

my 96th unique Nando's... Thanks to the Nando's blog it was pointed out that there was a Nando's in the lake district, a place in the UK we were heading... IT IS NOT ON nandos.co.uk!! Very odd..
Anyway, only 50miles or so north of our Lakes destination it was an enjoyable nando's having missed the major rush for potential free meals.
Staff were good, but there weren't that many chips.. Otherwise I'd have given it a higher food mark.
Nice place!

When collecting my daughter from Uni for the summer break we decided we needed a Nandos' fix on the way to the ferry, I used the Nandos' iPhone app to find this branch.

The branch is on the corner of a couple of busy streets with limited parking that we could find (1st time in Carlisle so locals would no doubt know better), we found a car park off a side street which as luck would have it was just through an alleyway to branch.

1 hour free parking on road round corner from this city centre store just opporsite the citadel. Nice historic curved buildings knocked through still with parquet flooring and brickwalls. Nice decoration though the large wardrobe by front door is neither african nor portuguese so did wonder its placing. No booth!!!!! and lots of those metal chairs i don't like.

Overall impression for my third visit to this store were that I knew what the store was like. It is pretty small compared to some Nando's restaraunts I have been into but it's nice. It's all on one floor and is easily accesable for wheelchair users and parents with children in prams as well.

Overall impression is it was brand new and my visit was only the stores third day of being open. I was impressed by how great it looked on the inside and the music and layout really showed it was a great and friendly store.
