This Nando's is located on the Goodmayes retail park and offers three hours free parking. Goodmayes train station is less than half a mile walk away.
Arrived here mid-afternoon and was greeted warmly by Tony. The inside is great. There's a large honeycomb structure running across the ceiling above the till right round to the toilets. There's a nicely decorated large booth just to the left as you enter with further booths round to the left from the entrance. There are orange shades for lighting here. The wall to the right is covered in large dreamcatcher style discs. Toilets clean if a little plain.
The food came in just under 10 minutes and I went for the sunset burger and chips. Bit disappointed again with the size of the thigh fillets - the 'standard' size for Nando's chicken seems to have shrunk in 2019. They were cooked nicely. Portion of chips was a standard size and again cooked just fine.
After the warm welcome by Tony, while ordering at the till by table was moved for me (along with my hoodie) - not sure if this was the staff or customers - but it was moved three tables over. I only found out when I found two people sat at my table. Also wasn't checked on during lunch. Levels out to a 3 as Tony was very welcoming.
