Cheltenham - Ryan Review
Was out in the Cotswolds and there's some beautiful little cafes and restaurants - but none that serve peri-peri! Jumped in the car and headed for The Brewery Shopping Centre - £2.50 for 2 hours, so not too expensive at all and the car park is just over the road from the centre. Looks like quite a modern place - and a Cineworld is next door too.
Arrived at about 2:30pm today - and it was pretty quiet in there, maybe only a fifth full, so was seated straight away.
Good impressions of the restaurant from the outside first of all - big full length windows and a big wooden door frame - and inside, big wooden slats in the ceiling, nice sauce displays behind the counter, long thin wooden blinds on some of the windows - but two really nice features: funky lightshades (very long beige covers probably three feet in length) and very smart toilets (all clad in black/grey cobble effect).
No wait at all to order the food - and it came in just over 10 minutes. It was good as well - hot chicken and noticeably lots of marinade on the chicken without it being greasy at all. Hot moist rice too and a good portion size on the chips.
Indulged in the white chocolate raspberry swirl too and a nice dollop of clotted cream on the side which was smashing! :-)
