So... I'm in Poole and one the nearest Nando's I haven't been to is Chichester. 65 miles away from the hotel - only 130 mile round trip. Well, Jack FM is on the radio - so let's go on a little drive! Just under an hour later - there I was at Chichester Gate Leisure Park! Damn you Nando's!!! Making such an addict out of me!!!

Anyways - I eventually got here at 8:40pm and it was maybe 2/3 full so no wait for a table. I got here at just the wrong time though as suddenly from nowhere, the queue at the till went from 2 people to 12 people while I was walking to my table and back! This meant over 20 minutes to order - but it was a freak occurrence. The food also came in 5 minutes too - so all is forgiven.

Chichester Gate has a variety of eateries on offer, as well as a Cineworld and Lakeside Bowling alley. Hundreds off free spaces right outside each of these too makes for a popular place to go.

This particular Nando's was nicely decorated. Large potted plants all around the oustide of the windows. Inside there are sections of sticks running around the ceiling, wooden columns that kinda look like palm trees and shelving units housing pots and other sculptures. The back wall also has several large bright canvas paintings. The lighting is also varied, with large lampshades mixed with smaller spotlights. The seating arrangement is also very good. A walled bench kind of separates the restaurant into two section, with the different sized booths being behind this (by the back wall) and the tables and chairs in the front (in the windows). With the toilets also being spotlessly clean and nice and bright, this really is a nice Nando's.

As for the food - it was delicious. I was given two large breasts for my half chicken and they were extremely juicy. Two large, juicy breasts - smothered in peri-peri... what more can I ask for???? Everything was nice and hot too - the chips had just come out the fryer, the rice was piping and moist and there were 8 Extra Extra Hot sauce bottles to choose from. Beautiful! Also, I gave the new gooey caramel cheesecake a go... it was really nice. I think I prefer the mango cheesecake (as I do like mango), but I can see this being a very popular choice!

The staff were friendly enough too - but did what was expected. I didn't really witness them striking up any conversations with the customers either, so just as expected.

Overall though, this was well worth the drive!!!
