These days I consider myself a Nando's veteran. I'm known amongst my friends and family for my remorseless hunger for Nando's and have had numerous, meaty conversations (genuine ones) speculating whether there is something addictive slipped into the Peri Peri sauce to keep people coming back.
When I moved to Clapham, naturally my first priority was to find out my DFN (Distance-From-Nando's).
Nando's Clapham is a narrow venue, but the offering is anything but slim. I've eaten in many Nando's, but somehow none have ever surpassed this venue. The food is always succulent, but grilled properly, a delicate balance that many grillers can miss by a feather (or a furlong). I have my standard order by now (half chicken, medium with Peri Peri chips and coleslaw), the coleslaw is always beautiful and the chips are always well cooked and have an even coating of Peri Peri salt. My only criticism would be a few Barfly, but it's a minor.
I'm meeting a friend for dinner tonight, any guesses where we are going?
