Colliers Wood - Pompey Ranger Review
This shopping centre has a good quantity of ground level free parking around it and benefits from a TK Max, Boots, JJB sports as well as a whole host of other retail outlets. There are less food outlets with only Harry Ramsden, Frankie and Bennies and a Starbucks for competition.
We arrived as a whole hockey team of 15 in a minibus and were given 2 booths designed for 6 people. The "health and safety" is the only answer I shall give as I ignore common sense and all possible outcomes other then the ridiculous one I am focusing on jobs worth insisted we couldn't put a chair at the end of our tables so we had to crowd in tight and squeeze together. The way they handled it was irritating especially as there was another walk way further back and still space. I did get the feeling here and also whilst being served at the till and as they brought the food out that they weren't too grateful for this custom on what would otherwise have been a quiet afternoon.
I used my competition winnings from a previous competition to purchase us some starters for the whole group of houmous and pita and whilst playing sardines in the booths we munched down bumping elbows.
Food was quite quick given the size of the group and the Corn was cooked spot on, the Chips were also well cooked but not big portions and the chicken was slightly cooked more than I would have liked.
Décor was standard in here with some good artwork at the front of the store.
