Was in Coventry for the day so popped into both Nando's - with this being the first and so lunch on the menu!

It's located in Priory Place which houses a few other bars and eateries, but is also extremely close to the city centre and the likes of the West Orchard and Precinct shopping centres which have everything you'd expect to find in a city centre. As with most of Coventry's city centre, Nando's is also in very close vicinity to the ruins of the Cathedral - so gives a nice setting to have a walk around in.

This Nando's is actually within a building that's called the Ribbon Factory - which, knowing history of Coventry and seeing the inside, I think it was actually a ribbon factory! :-) (funny that.) It's been extended on the side in a completely glass panelled extension - which makes for a striking building, but also gives seating in a nice bright open space. In addition to this there's nice outside seating of around 25 tables - giving maybe 80+ tables in total!

Inside the Nando's you can still see some of the original features of what must have been the factory - including the fireplace which is nice, but at the same time, the Nando's decor is there. Pots and sticks a plenty - and some large bright colourful paintings within the two waiting areas and dotted around the walls.

It was very easy to find parking too. I just followed the signs for Cathedral Parking and wound up in a car park a couple minutes walk away. £1 for all day Sunday and 50p after 6pm evenings - so a bargain!

There were two of us who arrived at about 1pm. Maybe only half full, so were seated and served at the till straight away. The staff were friendly enough. Nothing exceptional but nothing bad - but very quick service with food. It came in just under 5 minutes.

Two chicken breast burgers, with a Fino chips to share (we were lining up a full Nando's meal later after all...). The chicken breast had plenty of marinade on and the chips were very crispy... but since when did a Fino chips become two small regular sides? The portion was only just bigger than one normal chips, so it's a good job we were off for another later!

Toilets were nice and clean as well!

Oh - and this Nando's had two entrances - one at the front and one in the glass panelled extension. I wonder how many have two entrances?
