Coventry - Showcase - Marc Joss Review
Nando's 201 was the highlight of a day when the subsequent visit to the Hawthorns did not go to plan as Arsenal lost. At least I can look back on a successful Nando's visit which was most enjoyable.
Coventry Showcase is just off junction 2 on the M6 and beware that it doesn't open until midday every day so we actually had to wait in the car park in the freezing cold having made good time on the drive up to the West Midlands from north west London. Other people had the same idea and as soon as there was movement near the entrance, quite a few groups descended upon this stand-alone Nando's which has free parking and a cinema nearby making it a very popular one!
There was no queue to order and the staff were delightful. The food arrived very quickly and all four of our orders were perfect. A helpful Nandoca was happy to bring over tubs of mayonaise for all of us which we mixed with a whole host of peri-peri sauces. My half chicken was dripping in sauce, the peri chips had plenty of peri salt on them and my garlic bread was very tasty. The portion size was impressive and it saw me through until a very late dinner!
The only issue here is the chairs and tables are very old school and could possibly do with a make-over. To sum up, Nando's 201 was much more enjoyable than the debacle that ensued in West Bromwich.
