Crewe - James RYN Review
Finally there are some Nando's options on the M6 between Manchester and Birmingham! Today was Crewe's turn (next time Stoke), and I wasn't disappointed. As mentioned in other reviews, parking can be a bit tricky right outside the restaurant due to limited spaces, though on this occasion I was lucky enough to find one.
On entering, I was seated right away, and took a few minutes to take in the decoration. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh not giving it 5/5 in this category, as the high ceiling and barn-like feel were quite unique, though overall I feel a 4/5 is fair. Ordering was quick and effortless with a friendly Nandoca, and my food with with me within 10 minutes. The food itself was the highlight of this already strong Nando's experience, with a pretty much perfect pitta, and perfectly steamed rice. The cheese and pineapple were perfectly melted together, and the breast piece was large enough to fill the bread. In addition, the pitta itself didn't fall apart (which often results in a hand covered in sauce) - potentially a first for a well-sauced specimen!
I'd definitely return to this Nando's for the food alone, therefore highly recommended!
